The Self-Governance Communication & Education Tribal Consortium (SGCETC) and
Self-Governance Communication and Education Staff (SGCE) would like to thank all of the attendees at the 2008 Annual Self-Governance Conference.  Our 20th Year Anniversary
Self-Governance Celebration was all that we hoped for and more! The presentation of Tribal Flags by Veterans and Tribal Leaders was an overwhelming experience that was applauded by all.  It was an emotional, energizing and empowering experience; much like the experience that rekindled Self-Governance 20 years ago.

We extend special gratitude to the Sponsors for helping to make this 20th Anniversary a huge success.  Also, thank you to Comedian Chance Rush, who received a standing ovation and for a riveting evening of laughter.

Thank you to the Presenters, Recorders and Volunteers who responded to our requests for assistance in the conduct of the Conference. We could not have had such a great meeting without your input.

And last, but definitely not least, thank you to the Department of Health and Human Services’ Indian Health Service Office of Tribal Self-Governance and the Department of the Interior’s Office of Self-Governance. Your participation in this year’s Conference was invaluable and appreciated.

Many of our accomplishments have been shared during this 20th Year Anniversary but there is so much more history to share and to be written.  We will look back on this Conference as a time when we gathered and reflected on the vision, the principles and the goals of what Self-Governance was, is and will be for the next 20, 50, 100 years. A time when the future generations will be at the helm; our children of today who will be the leaders of tomorrow.

Thank you,
SGCETC and SGCE
