SGCETC Submits Comments to Senator Thune on S.304, the Tribal Veterans Health Care Enhancement Act

Reported favorably by the Senate Committee on Indian Affairs, S.304 amends the IHCIA to require IHS to cover the cost of a co-payment of an AI/AN Veteran receiving medical care or services from the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).  SGCETC sent a letter to Senator Thune explaining how this bill violates the trust responsibility to provide health care services to AI/ANs .
