OSG Request for Information on 2020 Tribal Self-Governance Activity

The DOI Office of Self-Governance (OSG) requests that Self-Governance Tribes provide OSG with information on their 2020 Tribal Self Governance activities by Friday, August 13, 2021. This information is needed for the Secretary to meet the statutory requirements of Pub. L. 93-638, as amended, (25 U.S.C § 5372) as they relate to the submission of the 2020 Annual Report to Congress.

Information may be submitted via fax, email or mail to Vickie Hanvey of my staff.
Email: Vickie.Hanvey@bia.gov Mail Address: Office of Self Governance, Attn: Vickie Hanvey 1849 C Street, NW, Mail Stop: MIB-3624 Washington, D.C. 20240 Fax: (202) 219-1404

There are three ways in which a tribe may choose to submit information to OSG.

  • Minimum Data Collection Form: As background, a Work Group of Self-Governance Tribes developed a form to facilitate the collection and submission of data by Self-Governance Tribes.
  • Tribal Reports or Brochures: A tribe may submit other Tribal summary annual reports or brochures that the Tribe wishes to provide OSG.
  • Tribal Program Highlight: OSG is looking for tribal programs to feature or highlight in the Annual Report including unique, innovative or best practices in implementing Self-Governance.
