DOI OSG Welcomes New Staff to Northwest Field Office

Sharee M. Freeman, Director, DOI, Office of Self Governance (OSG) – Indian Affairs, would like to take this opportunity to welcome Ms. Maureen Marcellay as Program Support Assistant in the DOI Office of Self Governance Northwest Field Office (OSG-NWFO) in Vancouver, WA.  Director Freeman is delighted with the skills and abilities that Maureen brings to the Office of Self Governance.  Maureen’s experience and background of federal and tribal service in Indian Country offer a foundation that serves her well for her new role with OSG.

Maureen is an enrolled member of the Colville Confederated Tribes in the state of Washington and is an honorably discharged veteran of the United States Navy.  She comes to the OSG from the Human Resources Office at the Bureau of Indian Affairs – Northwest Regional Office in Portland, OR.  She has worked in a variety of administrative capacities at the Colville Tribes, the Bureau of Indian Affairs, the Indian Health Service, and in the private sector.

Maureen’s primary responsibilities will be to provide program and administrative support to OSG’s Compact Negotiators and Financial Specialist in the OSG-NWFO.  Her duties will include assisting with communications and administrative processes regarding negotiations, contract support cost funding, and compliance with the Single Audit Act for Indian Affairs Tribal self-governance funding agreements.  Maureen may be reached at the OSG Northwest Field Office by telephone at 360-699-1007 and by e-mail.
