    IACP Indian Country Officer of the Year Award Deadline Extended through November 30

    Every day law enforcement officers work to keep tribal communities safe, often placing their own lives at risk to protect our safety and freedom. For this reason, the Indian Country Law Enforcement Section of the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) honors one outstanding individual each year for his or her selfless actions through the Indian Country Officer of the Year Award program,

    Nominations for the award will be now be accepted through November 30, 2015.

    The Indian Country Officer of the Year is honored with a traditional Native ceremony attended by our Section’s membership and by IACP leadership. This year’s award banquet will be held at the Las Vegas Paiute Resort in Las Vegas, NV on February 22, 2016, in conjunction with the 2016 Indian Country Law Enforcement Section Mid-Year Meeting.
