SGCETC Board of Directors Thanks Executive Director for Service and Announces Director Search

With sadness and appreciation, Self-Governance Communication & Education Tribal Consortium (SGCETC) wishes to announce that Terra Branson, SGCETC Executive Director, has resigned from the organization to achieve a life-long goal to serve her own Tribal Nation, Muscogee (Creek) Nation.

In her time with SGCETC, Ms. Branson advanced Self-Governance tenants and priorities, provided thoughtful leadership, trained more than 100 Tribes and Tribal Organizations, and expanded the Self-Governance network. While her commitment and dedication will certainly be missed by the SGCETC Board of Directors, advisory committees, and partners, we wish her the best of luck in her new endeavors.

Over the next few months, the Board of Directors will conduct a search to find the new Executive Director. During this transition period, it is our priority to find the best individual to lead the SGCETC, while still maintaining a stable and effective organization. We have developed a job announcement  and will release a request for proposal to provide organizational oversight and management soon. We ask for your help in identifying candidates and contractors who can help SGCETC continue the critical work needed to protect, advance, and expand Self-Governance.

Again, SGCETC Board of Directors thanks Terra for the dedication, passion and leadership she has given over the past three years. We look forward to following the success of her career and are hopeful for the next chapter of SGCETC as we continue to support Self-Governance Tribes and others. If you have any questions or concerns during this transition process, please do not hesitate to reach out to the Board of Directors or Rhonda Farrimond, Interim Executive Director.
